Security at ports Container Terminals is becoming a necessity. Trade legislation requires the complete traceability of products and the automation of loading or unloading operations. Container terminals are adopting new technology to streamline the process of containers traceability by automatically reading the ILU and BIC codes that can be found on containers. This avoids having to manually transcribe codes and, as a result, minimises errors. 

TARGA 704 ILB is an OCR camera that automatically reads container codes – ILU and BIC codes – recognising characters on cargo containers from above, below, and from the sides. TARGA 704 ILB guarantees maximum accuracy in reading containers codes with a 99.8% of exact matches in 1 million containers.
